Nakheel received Leading Shopping Mall in the UAE for Ibn Battuta Mall at the Middle East Gala Ceremony that took place at Atlantis, The Palm on Tuesday 28th October.

Ibn Battuta Mall is the World's largest themed mall and combines retail, entertainment, restaurant and family activities all within a uniquely themed environment. The inspiration for the theme of Ibn Battuta Mall is the travels of the legendary Arab explorer Ibn Battuta. The unique design of the shopping mall and separately themed courts are based on his travels through Asia and the Middle East. The spacious Mall currently covers an area of 3.1 million square feet and is undergoing an expansion plan that will double the mall's size with new themed courts and an expanded retail mix.
